Hedon Exterior Cleaning is an independent exterior cleaning and restoration business based in Hedon, East Yorkshire.
We clean, restore and protect exterior surfaces for homeowners, businesses and organisations across Hull and East Yorkshire.
Our work ranges from pressure washing driveways and patios to gutter cleaning, render cleaning, decking restoration and more specialist exterior cleaning projects.

Why We Started Hedon Exterior Cleaning
Hedon Exterior Cleaning was created from a desire to build something a little different.
After more than 20 years working within the oil, gas and energy industries, I wanted to take the standards I'd learned in demanding working environments — preparation, attention to detail, safe working and doing a job properly — and apply them to a business of my own.
Just as importantly, I wanted to build a business around family and community rather than allowing work to consume everything else.
Hedon Exterior Cleaning started in 2024 and has grown through local customers, recommendations, repeat business and a lot of hard work.
We're still a small family business, and that's something we value. Our reputation matters to us because the people we work for aren't just customer numbers — they're often people who live in the same towns and villages that we do.
The aim isn't to become the biggest exterior cleaning company. It's to build a good one.

Paul Stevenson
Owner & Exterior Cleaning Specialist
Paul carries out and oversees our exterior cleaning and restoration work. His previous background in the oil, gas and energy industries shaped the business's approach to preparation, safety, attention to detail and doing work properly rather than taking shortcuts.
Michaela Chidgey
Customer Support & Administration
Michaela helps keep everything running behind the scenes, from customer enquiries and quotations to scheduling and administration. She's often the person helping make sure customers know what's happening and when.
Harry Stevenson
Exterior Cleaning Technician
Harry works alongside Paul carrying out exterior cleaning and restoration work and is developing his experience across the different services we provide.

Exterior cleaning can involve powerful equipment, working at height and the use of professional cleaning and restoration products. That's why safety is considered before we start every job — not treated as an afterthought.
We assess the property, surrounding areas and the work involved so we can choose the right equipment, products and working methods for the job. Where required, we use appropriate PPE and RPE and take sensible precautions to protect people, pets, plants and surrounding surfaces.
Whether we're pressure washing a driveway, applying a cleaning treatment or restoring timber, our approach is simple:

Hedon isn't just where our business is based — it's our home and our community.
From the beginning, we wanted Hedon Exterior Cleaning to be about more than simply running a business. Through our Good Deeds Program, we use our time, equipment and experience to help local organisations, community spaces and good causes when we can.
We've been proud to support projects including St Augustine's Church, Hedon Cenotaph and Fort Paull, helping to clean and care for places that mean something to local people.

The entrance steps at St Augustine's had become slippery underfoot. We cleaned them to make the approach safer for visitors and now help maintain them to keep the area looking its best.

Caring for a Place of Remembrance
Hedon Cenotaph had become green and weathered and was in need of some care. We cleaned and restored its appearance and now help maintain the surrounding area ahead of remembrance ceremonies and important occasions.
